White House criticizes lawmakers for urging military defiance, questioning legality of their actions.

More details:

A White House spokesperson accused members of Congress of orchestrating a video message encouraging active duty service members to defy the president's lawful orders. The spokesperson emphasized the importance of the chain of command in the military, stating that such encouragement could lead to chaos, violence, and a disruption of military order.

The spokesperson highlighted the backgrounds of Alyssa Slotkin, Mark Kelly, and Maggie Goodlander, noting their prior experience in the CIA, US Navy, and as a naval officer respectively.
